J. Paul Grayson, Chairman and CEO

J. Paul Grayson conceived Alibre's vision and product direction in 1997 and recruited Steve Emmons to join him in founding the company. Grayson provided the initial funding for Alibre and subsequently closed two private financings with the participation of leading private capital firms including August Capital, Centerpoint Ventures, Bain Capital, Rho Management and GE Capital.

Prior to founding Alibre, Grayson was the founder, chairman, and CEO of Micrografx (NASDAQ: MGXI), where he conceived and co-created the company's first product, PC-Draw, which was the first drawing program for the PC. Grayson is considered a technology industry leader due to his early innovation in PC graphics including the Windows environment. Micrografx shipped the industry's first Windows-compatible application in 1985. Micrografx went public in 1990. Grayson also led the technology industry's most successful charity event, the Micrografx Chili for Children Cook-off, for 10 years.

Mandar G. Sukhatankar, Chief Information Officer

Mandar Sukhatankar heads the Information Systems and Operations teams at Alibre. With over 7 years of software architecture experience, he oversees the management and development of Alibre's internal systems and other aspects of IT. He also functions as Alibre's Chief Database Architect and Administrator. Until March 2006, he worked at Alibre as the Systems Architect, where he spearheaded development in critical areas of the Alibre Design software and implemented long term technical strategies. He was encouraged to return to Alibre in his present role in October 2006 after working as an Application Architect for BEST CROSSMARK, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner and an ISO 9001:2000 certified IT Professional Services firm. Prior to working at Alibre, he worked as a Software Developer at Scient Corporation, a multinational industry leader in e-Business systems. Mandar graduated with a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota at Twin Cities with a minor in Computer Science, where he also earned his first patent. He also holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Maharashtra Institute of Technology, India, and is a Project Management Institute (PMI®) certified Project Management Professional (PMP®).

Scott Erickson, Vice President - Sales

Scott Erickson has over 13 years of experience in mechanical design and software sales & marketing. Prior to joining Alibre Inc., Erickson held various mechanical design and R&D related positions at the Los Alamos National Laboratory, Applied Research Laboratory, and Westinghouse. Since joining Alibre Inc. in 2000, Erickson has been involved in product management, technical support/training, inside sales, and International sales; he was promoted to VP of Sales in 2007. Erickson is now responsible for guiding the continued acceleration of Alibre’s global sales channels, both direct and indirect. Erickson has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California at Davis and completed his graduate studies in the Master of Science program in Mechanical Engineering at the Pennsylvania State University.

Ashok Srinivasan, Vice President - Product Development

Ashok Srinivasan has over 20 years of technical and development experience with most of it spent in the CAD and engineering software industry. Ashok manages the development and technical direction of Alibre Design. Early in his career, Ashok used his engineering background to solve computer challenges at TATA Motors and Intergraph in India. Later, he spent time in development on Solidedge at Unigraphics. Until 2003, he worked at Alibre for his first time as a leader on the development team. In 2005, he was encouraged to return to Alibre in his present role after spending 12 months as technical director at Intergraph Consulting in Alabama. Jeremy Jaech

Jeremy Jaech is best known as co-founder of Aldus Corporation and Visio Corporation, which he also led as president and CEO. Aldus launched an era of desktop publishing in 1985 through its introduction of PageMaker software, an application that allows users to mix type and graphics on the same page. Jaech managed the development of all Aldus products through 1989. In 1990, Jaech and two others founded Visio Corporation, which introduced software that enabled information-technology professionals and engineers to diagram, visualize, document and share ideas including flowcharts, organization charts and office layouts. Microsoft acquired Visio in 2000 and Jaech became vice president of the Visio Division for Microsoft Corporation. His technology background includes the development of a computer-aided design system for the Boeing 777 in the early eighties. A native of the Northwest, Jaech holds degrees in math and computer science from the University of Washington. Jaech also serves on the board of directors for RealNetworks, Pivotal Corporation, Vizx Labs and Performant.

Mike Maples

Mike Maples has more than 35 years of computer industry experience. He retired from Microsoft Corporation as executive vice president of the Worldwide Products Group where he was responsible for all product development and product marketing activities. He still acts as a consultant, advisor and ambassador on certain strategic relationships and internal management initiatives at Microsoft. Prior to joining Microsoft, Maples worked for IBM for more than 23 years where he was director of software strategy. He graduated from Oklahoma University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Oklahoma City University with a MBA. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Computer Moms International, J.D. Edwards and Company, Lexmark Corporation, Mission Critical Software, Motive Software and PSW Technologies. Maples is also on the Board of Advisors for 12 high tech firms and venture funds.

David Marquardt

A co-founder of August Capital, David Marquardt entered the venture capital business in 1979 as an associate at Institutional Venture Associates (IVA). During his tenure at IVA, he led successful investments in Seagate, Archive and SpectraLogic (*Seagate) and Stratus Computer. In 1980, Marquardt became a founding partner in Technology Venture Investors' four highly successful funds that invested in more than 100 start-ups and emerging growth companies. During his venture career, he has invested in more than 40 companies, serving on more than 20 boards of directors. In addition to the companies mentioned above, his venture successes include: Adaptec, Auspex, Grand Junction Networks (*Cisco), Linear Technology, Microsoft and Sun Microsystems. TVI was the sole venture investor in Microsoft, where Marquardt has served on the Board of Directors since 1981.

Robert Paluck

Bob Paluck is the managing general partner and founder of CenterPoint Ventures. This Partnership is a $150 million venture capital fund that invests in early stage, rapid growth-potential companies in areas such as telecommunications and data communications, the Internet and Intranet, computer hardware and software, and semiconductors. Paluck is chairman of the board of Knowledge Discovery One, Inc. and Chorum Technologies, and serves on the boards of ComSpace Corporation, Chiaro Networks Ltd. and Delsys Pharmaceutical Corporation. Prior to founding CenterPoint Ventures capital partnership, Paluck was co-founder, chairman of the board and CEO of Convex Computer Corporation, a Texas-based, venture-funded start-up that created a new class of supercomputer and achieved revenues of $250 million. Convex was acquired by Hewlett-Packard in 1995. He also was an early employee at Mostek, one of the fastest growing semiconductor companies of the 1970s, where he held engineering and management positions, including vice president of product development and marketing. United Technologies acquired Mostek in 1980. Paluck has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois and a MBA from Southern Methodist University. He received the Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 1990, KPMG's Entrepreneur of the year award in 1989, the University of Illinois' Distinguished Alumnus Award in 1988 and SMU's Outstanding Entrepreneurship Award in 1987.
