Alibre Announces Subscription Option for Instructor-led Online Training Seminars
RICHARDSON, Texas, February 3, 2005 - Alibre, Inc. today announced the immediate availability of a new annual subscription option for unlimited access to its live online training seminars. During the seminars, expert instructors use industry-leading Web-conferencing services like Live Meeting to provide training in 3D and 2D mechanical design.
The seminars allow engineers to learn the principles of computer-aided design, including 3D parametric solid modeling, 2D drafting and detailing, and become expert in Alibre Design software while avoiding the lost productivity of travel time and other associated costs.
"I attended a couple of the online seminars and found them very helpful," states John DeCandia, consultant and owner of John DeSigns. "When I heard about the annual subscription, I signed up right away -- it's a great value. The online seminars are better than a regular class: instead of cramming everything into one or two days, the seminars each focus on a single topic. Now, I decide when to move on to the next topic, not the clock. And I like that the subscription allows me to retake seminars to refresh my skills."
In addition, online training subscribers may access pre-recorded seminars on-demand for self-paced learning round-the-clock. And, as an added benefit, online training subscribers receive a 30% discount on Alibre's regional 3-day training seminars.
"While most of our customers consider ease of use a key reason for choosing Alibre Design, many have little or no prior experience with 3D CAD," said Greg Milliken, Alibre president and CEO. "Our online training seminars give them the instruction they need to quickly become proficient -- even experts -- in 3D design. And with the 'all you can eat' subscription offering they can attend classes at their leisure, reviewing and brushing up on skills as needed."
Alibre's online training seminars also qualify for Professional Development Hours (PDH) in many states with Continuing Professional Competency requirements for Professional Engineer license renewal.
Current topics include basic, intermediate and advanced seminars in part and assembly design, drawings, sheet metal design, and making the move from 2D to 3D. For a complete schedule, visit the "Online Training Seminars" page of the Alibre web site (http://www.alibre.com/training/).
Contact Alibre for more detailed information about Alibre's training programs or to subscribe now for one year of unlimited access at a special introductory rate of $595 available through the end of March 2005.
