Alibre and Quickparts Bring Online Price Quotes and Manufacturing to the Alibre Design Community

RICHARDSON, TX -- June 28, 2006 -- Alibre, Inc. and Quickparts today announced a partnership to deliver Alibre Design 3D parametric modeling solutions integrated with Quickparts' patent-pending QuickQuote technology. The integrated solution leverages the Alibre Design API and provides instant online price quotes for rapid prototyping and production manufacturing to the Alibre Design community. The solution is complete and will be made immediately available to Alibre customers, including users of Alibre Design Xpress, the industry's only free 3D parametric modeling solution.
The QuickQuote for Alibre Design add-on provides Alibre Design users with an easy format to instantly quote and buy rapid prototypes (SLA, SLS, FDM), cast urethanes, CNC machined parts, metal castings, sheet metal parts and injection mold tooling.
By defining the process, quantity, finish, and lead-time, Alibre Design users have the freedom to perform what-if scenarios before making a manufacturing or production decision. The entire process of quoting and buying a part can take as little as 2 minutes, with most parts delivered in 3 to 5 days.
